2017, 2019 Running Around Cigarette Factory

Running Around Cigarette Factory 2017, 2019. The work started when, at the beginning of the transformation of the old Cigarette Factory into the new Culture Factory, many groups who were claiming and fighting for the place started to publish their project for the place in social media. In contrast, as the fight started to be directed toward social media, I prepared a participatory performance. I invited everyone to have a walk and a run around the factory, just to make it clear that the factory, 76,000 square metres in the middle of the city, is big enough to accommodate all activities in the city, not just a few groups. Mhamad Nakam, a young and interesting storyteller. wrote a short story, and the story was divided into 17 cards and spread across five places for the walkers to collect during the walk. By the end, because there were 17 cards and each person collected only 5, they had to share their card with others in order to re-make the story.

in 2019 the Material of the first performance was installed and made open to public and this time I invited audiences to re-invent part of a story written on 17 small carts.
