DWAROZH CENTRE

2002, I was visiting the Dwarozh Centre, which was a centre for education and activities targeted toward the younger generation, connecting to other groups of intellectuals. Many of today's known personalities were visiting the place.
Madhat Kakei, the Kurdish artist who was a pioneer for the young and our generation, started a workshop with some of us who were just in the final years of college; the workshop didn't end up with an exhibition but was a great exchange of experiences on painting. After the workshop, there was a big room that was left over for construction to take place. I decided with the director to use the place for some time as an installation space, even though at the time my knowledge were very limited about installation and other forms of art outside painting; that's why I stared to collect as many cartons as possible to build an installation and to start painting on them and hanging them to the room until it was completely covered, with some parts being treated as internal sculpture to treat it as a play that the place is not just walls but an atmosphere to move inside.
