CIGARETTE FILTER 

2013 Cigarette filter, Video 56 seconds looping. 

The work is a collection of more than one year's worth of photos of cigarette filters in different locations, starting from Sulaymaniyah to London; later, it was all brought together in one video. The work was exhibited in many places, starting with the first-year MFA Fine Art student show at Goldsmiths, London. 

The work later became part of the Project Xashak exhibition, which I curated.  Inside the old Cigarette factory, in order to support the transition of the place to become today's Culture Factory ( the biggest cultural project in Iraq).
This was the first exhibition inside the Culture Factory, and the start of the long relationship with the place that many projects and artworks produced some in reaction or critical respond to the crises inside the factory and some others as support for establishing supporting circle to protect the creative transition of the place, the work tuning body was produced there with a series of works that were my project to work on the place from a critical aspect.
